Author description

Jeanne Willis has had a successful career working in advertising and as an author, writing over eighty picture books, poetry books, television scripts and novels for children. Her teenage novel Naked Without a Hat was shortlisted for the Whitbread Children's Book Award and Dumb Creatures was longlisted for the Carnegie Medal. Her other novels include the Goffins series, Shamanka (9781406350821) and Grandad and John (9781844288984); and her picture books include Wild Child (9781406323085), Mummy, Do You Love Me? (9780744570847) and Never Too Little to Love (9780744596502). She lives in north London, N14. Lydia Monks is the acclaimed illustrator of the Smarties Book Prize-winning I Wish I Were a Dog, as well as the Indie Kidd series by Karen McCombie. She lives in Sheffield.
